Hello everyone! This post will be covering a lot of Tips and Guides for you on how to have a higher chance to become a part of the Build Team! If you’re interested in becoming a part of the build team,
please do read these Tips/Guides as they could help you to improve a lot for your future applications!

Application Format & Text Development

  • You might be a good builder but you also really need to think about how you make your application, adding a lot of important details is always good, and try to make yourself stand out more in your text. Showing good builds is always good but putting effort into an application will make you seem stronger and more hardworking!

  • Think about your format as well, you could have a very well-written application which is always good, but having a good format makes it easier for anyone to read, and again, it shows a lot of effort. The recommended format is bolding the questions and putting a normal text or italic text right under it.

Maturity & Respect

  • Having a good maturity is always great and respecting others’ opinions. If someone were to criticize your application you need to keep in mind to let them have their opinions and respect them. If someone were to think you’re toxic or very immature, it would be harder for the build managers to accept you. I would highly recommend trying to improve from your criticism, that will show that you are capable of improving and you have a good maturity.

  • Respect is very needed. As I said, respecting others’ opinions is a very good way to prove that you are a good candidate for the Build Team. Keep in mind to always be nice towards other Builders and don’t have a bad relationship with them. Obviously, they can’t accept or deny you, but they do have a high role when it comes to Build Team Applications.

Skills & Activity

  • The MunchyMC Build Team is very skilled at many things, being good at generally building, using worldedit, knowing voxel is always great to be good at when you apply. Being good at these things will definitely help you significantly to get accepted.

  • We highly suggest you look at any Accepted applications for further inspiration or to see what kinds of builds we are looking for!

  • Being active is always good, you need to show that you are responsible for your work and what you need to do and showing effort! This will increase the chances of you getting accepted.

Plagiarism & Portfolios

  • We get a lot of plagiarized builds and we definitely watch out for them, some applicants have been taking pictures from a website, built them from a tutorial, or even worse stolen it from other applications. Doing anything like this would get you denied instantly. And will significantly decrease your chances of becoming a builder in the near future.

  • If you are an original builder for your builds and you don’t know where to put your work I highly recommend using any of these websites for a portfolio:
    | Imgur | Crevado | Planet Minecraft |

Accepted?

  • Congrats, you have been accepted for a Build Trial! A manager will kindly ask you to message them to set up a trial, once that’s done you are now free to either make a large build or multiple small ones!

  • No need to panic! If needed, you can always ask for any inspiration or help from some other builders, we’re here to help you and to make you sure about yourself and your trial, do your best! Once the Trial period ends, your build(s) will be looked into by a Manager and then they’ll make a final decision whether to accept you or not for a full-time builder rank.

Good luck to everyone applying in the future!
