This post will be containing a lot of information about the Builder rank! If you have played on the MunchyMC server before, you may have stumbled across a player with a dark green name and wondered “What rank is that?”. Well, that’s the builder rank! Visible to every gamemode except Prison.

General Info
How do I apply for builder?
- You can apply via the Build Applications category or being offered it from a competition at rare times! (e.g. The recent KitPVP Event map competition) or by asking a Build Manager (Mikeal or SierAlex) through discord.
How does the Builder trial work?
- About how long it commonly takes or not being allowed to build projects with other builders and which build you will be building is evaluated by the Build Team Manager, Mikeal.
What does it take to become a builder?
- Simply what it takes is good talent in different ways of building like, terraforming, detailing, world editing, etc. You don’t necessarily need any time on the server to be able to apply for the builder rank, however it would still be better to see the applicant more active in general.

What sort of builds would you be building?
- As a Builder / Senior Builder you would either be asked to make a certain map for a gamemode by the manager of that specific gamemode or anything of your own idea, which includes: WoolWars maps, KitPVP maps, Event maps, lobbies, etc.

How are Builders selected?
Builders are selected from either getting accepted on your Build Team Application, or you can be recruited by showing off some of your builds to on of the Build Team Managers, and then you will be set up for a trial in the build server. If you complete your trial you will be awarded with a full time Builder rank, access to the build server where all the builds from the build team are made and a green name all over the network (except Prison).

Frequently Asked Questions
Are Builders staff?
No, Builders are not a part of the staff team. However we do have some high priorities when it comes to Build Team Applications and most of the builds that are provided from the Build Team.
What in-game perks do Builders get?
When you receive the Builder rank after your Trial, you’ll get the green Builder name over the whole network except Prison. You’ll also have full time access to the Build Server and the Staff Discord!
How old do I need to be to become a Builder?
You need to be 13 years of age or older to be able to become a builder, even using the forums. And so goes for any other non-purchasable rank!
What are the differences between Builder and Senior Builder?
Permissions wise, not much. However Senior Builders are more rewarded than normal Builders because they are extremely good at building and have a lot of talent within most of the building techniques, also being in the Build Team for much longer than anyone else and actively building!
Do any builders get paid?
Some builders, and some senior builders get paid, though most don’t. Our build team is made up of mostly volunteers, just like the rest of the staff team. That being said, certain assigned projects can result paying a builder (or builders), mostly those that include a due date, and those that tend to be of a larger scale.
