I was bored one day, and decided to come up with some kits that could be added to Wool Wars.
-
Fish: A little bit like kitPVP Fish, it would grant Strength and allow to to move fast in water, and Weakness outside of water. You would spawn with a water bucket that refills every 15 seconds.
-
Yeeter: Ability to right click with any sword to get a boost in the direction you are facing - enough of a boost to propel you about 1/4 across the WW arena. 30 second cooldown.
-
Light: Allows you to double jump with a 15 second cooldown.
-
Souper: Ability to convert all health pots to soups.
-
Minuteman: Spawn with a compass that allows you to organize your inventory, automatically putting on the best armor and putting your sword in the first slot, wool or bow in the 2nd, and healing in 3rd, 4th, and 5th. One use.
-
Berserker: Gain Strength 1 while below 1/2 HP.
-
Xray: Spawn with a compass that shows you where the best chest is within 20 blocks of you.
-
Rogue: Gain permanent Speed 1, and invisibility for 1 second on kill.
-
Hacker: Spawn with an iron ingot. Allows you to fly for 3 seconds when you right click your ingot as long as these conditions are met:
- You have not flown (flied? idk) in the last 2 minutes
- You are at least 10 blocks away from opponents
- You have full HP
You will stop flying if someone looks at you, much like an enderman.
-
Immune: If you touch the sandstone ground, you won’t die as long as you get off of it in 2 seconds.
-
Shiny: Have permanent Glowing effect, but people get blindness if they look at you for more than 1 second.
-
Beefy: Spawn with an iron chestplate and helmet, but can use no more than stone tools throughout the game.
-
Spooder: Allows you to cling to walls for 3 seconds at a time, and climp upward at a pace of 1 block/second. 10 second cooldown.
-
Vacuum: You have 3x the pickup radius for items, and can extract items from chests at 4 items/second.
-
Bloodcrafter: People you kill drop potions.
-
Alchemist: Start with a poison 1 spash potion that has a 15 second CD.
-
Bomberman: Spawn with 2 insta-boom TNT, and gain immunity to TNT and its knockback.
-
Forecaster: Right click in the direction of a chest from any distance to see if it contains a sword or armor, and which sword/armor piece it is.
-
Soulstealer: Each kill you get in a game will increase your maximum health by 1 heart (2 points).
-
Salty: Spawn with 4 snowballs, and get 1 snowball every 8 seconds.
-
Potato: Spawn with a potato with Sharpness 1 and Fire Aspect 1.
-
Skeppy: Spawn with 1 diamond and a crafting table. You will have a Skeppy skin during the game. Ability to turn enderpearls into diamonds.
If you think some of these kits are unbalanced, be sure to mention it in the comments. If you have any kit ideas for Wool Wars, comment them down below!

Okay so I want to organise these kits a little bit for you to re-think some of them.
OP:
- Fish
- Yeeter
- Light
- Souper
- Berserker
- Rogue
- Hacker
- Beefy
- Spooder
- Alchemist
- Hardy
- Salty
- Potato
- Skeppy
Useless:
- Xray (due to compasses not being effected by Y coordinates)
- Munchy
- Shiney (Does not work as the server is 1.8.9, not 1.14+)
Possible to be functional if altered slightly:
- Immune
- Vacuum
- Bloodcrafter (probably change to health potions)
- Bomberman
- Forcaster
- Soulstealer
Regarding the items, at the moment, Wool Wars does not contain things like this, though it has been mentioned by myself (as well as some of these kit ideas in a similar way) to the developer already.
Never the less, thank you for these cool ideas! I’ll be sure the staff team have a discussion about every one of them, even if we take some of your kit ideas and re-work them, they are still a big help!

Oh wow… I didn’t expect a moderator to respond…
Anyways, thank you for the feedback! I was looking back on them and also realized some of them were overpowered. I will try to nerf those kits so that they are as balanced as possible. Thanks for the help!
So I nerfed the kits that were OP. Let me give you a recap of them now.
Fish: Weakness outside of water, and bucket refills every 15 seconds.
Yeeter: 30 second cooldown, and less of a boost.
Light: 15 second cooldown, no fall damage reduction.
Souper: Converts HP pots to soup instead of spawning with it.
Minuteman: You didnt mention anything about it, but I made it 1-use.
Berserker: Only gives Strength 1 below 1/2 HP.
Rogue: Perm Speed 1, and Invis 1 sec on kill.
Hacker: 2 minute cooldown, 10 block away from opponents.
Beefy: Stone tools, and only iron chestplate and helmet.
Spooder: Cling to walls at 3 seconds at a time, and 10 second CD.
Alchemist: Poison 1 splash potion with 15 second cooldown
Salty: Spawn with 4 snowballs, and gain 1 every 8 seconds.
Potato: Spawn with a potato with Sharpness 1 and Fire Aspect 1.
Skeppy: 1 Diamond, and turns Ender Pearls into diamonds.
Thank you for helping me realize how OP the kits were!
I’d be nice and share the kit ideas I have saved up in a doc for ideas:
Engineer-,
Starts with:
3 pistons, 3 gravel, 16 redstone, 4 repeaters, 1 button, 1 lever and 4 slime,
Ability: on kill gain 1 Throwable TNT
Would be fun to make traps and such with this.
L33t hax0r-
Starts with:
Nothing.
Ability: Gain 1 block extra reach for opening chests, placing blocks and breaking blocks
(DOES NOT affect player hit detection reach)
Sword swallower-
Starts with:
Nothing
Ability: Everytime you right click with a sword you get -½ total max health and +½ to damage dealt on swords, but on doing so it consumes the sword (30 second cooldown)
Camel-
Starts with:
Nothing
Ability: Immune to sandstone for the first 2 seconds of touching it, while running on sandstone you gain speed 2, jump boost 1 and strength 1 (runs out as soon as you step off)
(or possibly Dryad)
Starts with:
5 purification powder (purple dye), when right clicked, turns a 10x10 area around you into grass/dirt/mossy cobblestone blocks. This also affects sandstone, but it reverts after 10 seconds.
Snow Golem-
Starts with: 8 snow blocks and 1 pumpkin
Ability: When you spawn a snowman it follows you, creating snow blocks under its feet if it needs to, it fires snow projectiles at enemies within a range of 5 blocks (once every 2 seconds) and gives them slowness 2 on hit (deals no damage). On killing a player you gain another pumpkin, but can only have one snowman at a time.
This kit was actually one I thought was balanced already.
Strength as a mechanic is very overpowered, you need to be careful in what situations you give it to people. As with a scenario of having less than 1/2 HP, this just means the kit wins any straight up sword pvp, seems a little too OP still. Maybe you can toy with the idea of getting strength for 5 seconds after killing a player or mob?
This balances it slightly, but I feel like the kit should not be able to spawn infinite water. Maybe it is just only given a normal bucket with water in?
Both these are ideas that I am going to leave to the side for the moment, before working on how glider works I don’t think we should be adding any more movement based ability kits into the game.
Now it seems a bit fairer, I’m still not 100% with it though.
This seems cool now.
Again, with the movement kits, I’m going to hold off with this for the moment.
If you are toying with the idea of being better off than others for defence in early game, how about gaining resistance 1 for 2 minutes of the game? This extends while you have it for 30 seconds on each kill.
The issue I have with this is it could prevent fall damage with other kits already do, and without that ability the kit would be very underpowered, but again, I would like to avoid movement based abilities until we can balance the ones we already have.
This is better.
This is also better.
Cool, maybe renamed to Hot Potato though!
Really unique idea, I like it!
Stuntman
Can’t receive fall damage.
Flavour Text: Knows every trick in the book to avoid breaking a bone from falling.
Great idea, although there is already a kit in the game (feather) that does that.
Thanks for the advice!
I think that the kit would be underpowered if it didnt get infinite water, although maybe the bucket would refill on kill?
That’s very true, great advice!
That could be cool, but maybe instead of extending its duration it would stack levels, up to R.3 (60% dmg reduction)?
Yes. Just yes.
I Love The Ideas! It Would Make Woolwars Really Diverse
