Survival Rules

Modifying Keybinds

The use of a modification or program to automatically generate clicks for you or similar is considered cheating and will result in a permanent ban.

Using an attack keybind (rebinding ‘attack’ to a key other than left or right click on your mouse) is also prohibited and will be treated the same as a macro or autoclicker.

Rebinding attack to any keyboard key is still prohibited.

Griefing & Raiding

Griefing on Survival includes the destruction or raiding of any **claimed** player-made structure that does not belong to the perpetrator. This includes, but is not limited to, breaking blocks, taking items, tampering with redstone, griefing with water or fire, killing pets or livestock and stealing crops..

Please make sure you make good use of the features available on the server to protect your builds, items and farms. If they are unclaimed, they will no longer receive attention or aid from staff members. These include the claiming system and the lockette private sign feature.

Teleport Trapping/Killing

Constructing and using traps that kill players while their PvP is disabled is prohibited. If caught doing so, you WILL be punished by one of our staff members. If you come across a TP-Killer/Trapper, alert a member of the staff team immediately.

Killing players when their PvP is enabled is perfectly fine, and keepinventory is enabled for all PvP deaths. However, in the rare case that the keepinv fails, we do not guarantee that we will be able to recover any items you have lost so PvP with care.

Inappropriate Builds & Auctions

Inappropriate builds and auctions are taken seriously. Being responsible for the construction of an inappropriate structure will result in punishment. Inappropriate builds include swastikas, reproductive organs, inappropriate language on signs, etc. Perpetrators of inappropriate named items in auctions are treated similarly to perpetrators of inappropriate builds.

Scamming

Scamming by misrepresenting items when using /auction, with the intention to mislead people, is prohibited and punishable with time in jail. If you suspect someone of scamming or attempting to scam players, please provide a moderator with evidence.

Redstone & Farms

Constructing and using 0-Tick farms is NOT allowed on Survival and may result in a punishment. This specific type of farm has a tendency to lag the server, and abuses a Minecraft growth bug to produce items as fast as it does.

Chunk loaders are not allowed on Survival as they have a negative impact on server performance.

Lag machines are machines built for the sole purpose of causing extreme server lag, and for that reason are strictly prohibited on Munchy. If you happen to come across either one of these machines, inform a member of the staff team immediately so we can handle it.
We also reserve the ability to remove and warn for other types of machines that cause lag on the server - such as certain types of fly machine or excessively large mob farms, etc. Do not use any kind of machine that involves duping, and please always be considerate of other players experience on the server when planning your builds.

Chat Offenses

On Survival, we're slightly less lenient than the other servers on Munchy when it comes to chat offenses. We try our best to keep the chat family-friendly on all chats in-game. On Survival you will be warned and/or muted for excessive swearing, toxicity, provocation, harassment and/or threats. We also punish for anything that would be considered NSFW. Doxing, DDoS and Dox threats are treated seriously, as these are extremely major offenses.

Mature and Disturbing Topics

In order to protect the well-being of everyone on our server, references to and discussions of suicide and self-harm are not permitted anywhere on the survival server or associated platforms, and may result in a punishment regardless of the intention behind your message. Discord direct messages, and similar types of direct messaging, may also be included when a decision is made regarding a report of this type of behavior.

IRL Deals

ALL IRL deals are to be done through the MunchyMC Store. You may NOT make deals for out-of-game items or currency unless it is done through the MunchyMC Store, or one or both parties may be temp-banned or banned. You may ONLY MAKE IMMEDIATE DEALS, meaning deals that involve an immediate transaction, no borrowing etc. To ensure there is no risk of an IRL scam, it is best that you inform a staff member of an IRL deal before going through with it so we can be informed of the terms of the agreement in order to best protect both parties.

In-game Modifications

Modifications that provide you with an in-game advantage over others are not allowed. This includes any automatic block placing features in schematic mods.

LIST OF ALLOWED MODIFICATIONS
If your modification is not covered by anything on the following list, DO NOT use it, or ask a staff member for extra clarification.

Brightness Modifications
Modifications that allow you to adjust your gamma/brightness levels.

Client Sided Enhancement Mods
This includes any modifications that enhance and/or improve client sided things. Examples are FPS boosters, Potion Effect Status mods, Armor Status mods, Coordinate/Direction mods, etc. As long as the mod only makes it easier to see information that is already available to you without the use of the modification, it falls under this category.

Shaders & Resource Packs
Shaders that slightly modify the quality, or look of Minecraft are allowed. Same thing goes for resource and texture packs. Packs that modify block properties are NOT allowed. One of the most common type of packs that modify block properties are Xray ones. Using this type of pack will result in a permanent ban.

Bug/Glitch Abuse

If you discover or are informed of a bug/glitch, tell a staff member immediately (you may even be rewarded). Withholding information from a staff member when asked may result in a ban. Abusing a glitch may result in a temporary or permanent ban, depending on the severity of the offense. All bug MUST be reported to a staff member when they are found; spreading or keeping silent about a bug may result in severe punishment.
