Release Map 7 of Prison already…
Map 6 right now is pretty much as fun as map 4… which sucked.
Many people on munchy who joined a week ago won’t agree with resetting, but idc, this isn’t about them, this is about the server. Map 5 had an 8 month map, this map so far is 8 months long. Holy shit: does that sound right?
Sure dream with 200k subs has other “important” stuff to do which is understandable, but I have to say this map was the least updated map there was. Sure farming was introduced, mythicals were reintroduced, but was there really a point? Farming broke the economy, mythicals pretty much broke the economy, SPECIALS FUCKING RAPED THE ECONOMY.
Dream is very busy recently, but we have a developer Varmetek working his heart away on map 7. We are good friends and whenever I am speaking to him he is working on map 7. I know it’s going to come soon, we just have to be patient.
Everyone is hard at work to get prison map 7 out! It will be coming soon enough. Creating a forum post complaining won’t speed up the process.
The developers and builders want this map to be as good as possible. Unfortunately, this means it will take a little bit of time.
Well firstly @warl, the development of a new map doesn’t start with the release of the current map. The first months or so, development focuses on gettings bugs fixed and keeping new updates coming. It’s only near the very end that a theme is selected.
Secondly @isaac1214, you’re not making a good case for yourself. It’s hard for me to care about your opinion at all if you’re unable to express it in a normal manner.
That being said, there are other people patiently waiting so let me give the community an inofficial update.
The development of the next map is nearly done. However, there are some other complications that are delaying the release and updates to other gamemodes which we will probably release before the new prison map.
To be honest, they probably wont release until Christmas. This in their best interest, as most of the people who play MC servers are under 18, which means they have school. When they release near Christmas, usually they’ll have extra spending money and time to play, making the release more successful.
Uh no… I don’t think that’s in their best interest. Making the players wait another than two months for the map to release is a terrible idea. It’s already been 8 months ( aka the prison record ).
Let’s not rush the devs Issac, it’s better to get the best prison map possible instead of rushing them into an unfinished map. I say, take as much time as you need to make this map better than the last. Giving constructive feedback on how to make this coming map better is what we as a player base should be doing, not driving them towards a failure.
Cyttt if you played map 2, which idk if you did, you’d know how perfect of a map that was. If I’m not mistaken map 1 was only like 3 or 4 months. I’m saying if map 2 was a prime example of a perfect map, how come it’s taken this long to release maps 4-5, 5-6, and now 6-7? I understand what you’re saying, but doesn’t this seem a little weird even despite the fact they have to come up with map themes, ultra, legendary, possibly mythical, AND special names?
It’s mostly because of dream lol, if he cared more about his job as a dev than his yt channel that got boosted by skeppy he’d be developing map 7 just like varm is, and if he cared about “munchy profiting” he would’ve worked harder and made map 7 release during summer break since that’s literally THE BEST TIME OF THE YEAR to release a map - no one has school, kids spend money faster than they pop tic tacs and it wouldn’t of been SO LONG AND BORING since the release of map 6. For someone who insisted on making kits on kitpvp purchasable only through munchy’s store to make kit “more profitable”, he sure is bad at making profit off of prison (which he’s supposed to be in charge of).
