MunchyMC Newsletter: Edition 28 - May 2020
Welcome to May’s edition of the MunchyMC Newsletter! This has been quite the hectic month, however we are still able to find a great place to have fun and connect with others through MunchyMC! We all hope you’ve been safe, and without any further ado, let’s get right into the newsletter!

Sadly this month Survival SMod @RossRao made the decision to resign from his duties on the server. As a member of the upper staff team, he played a crucial role in keeping Munchy running, and he will be sorely missed from the staff team and community alike. We all wish him the very best for future endeavours, and I recommend you check out this post if you still wish to leave him a nice goodbye message. Thank you Ross!

KitPvP Highlights!
While nothing major has happened to Kit within the last month, a new clans season is in the works, and a new map made by CJPuff was launched! We hope to start progress on the Kit update within the next month, so hopefully we have some more to report soon :)

Survival Games Highlights!
Some small fixes to our lobby system and stats command have been updated, as well as some new broadcasts.
Far more importantly, /leaderboard was added to our commands list, which allows you to see the top 15 people based on wins!
Some new maps for SG are also in the works and we’re hoping to launch those within the next month or two :)

Prison Highlights!
March saw the introduction of many exciting new updates for prison!
The newest event on prison is PRISONBREAK! Upon joining, players will be teleported to a random location in the Azkaban-style arena. All players are given the opportunity to loot chests scattered around the prison, which include guard and donator armor and weapons, potions, consumable pvp rares, and every single pvp rare item in the game. The last player alive wins 5 prisonbreak crates (which include items such as an ultra boost, mining boost, 10x crates, 5x donator crates, 3x easter crates, 1x ultra legendary crate, mega event pass, event party pass, etc)! Prisonbreak is scheduled to happen twice a day!

Furthermore, by chatting to the Dumbledore NPC, you are now able to exchange your experience levels for charms to further boost your ultra legendary rares! Currently, charms are able to be added to Dobby, Snape, Hagrid, Harry Potter and Hermione ultra legendary sets, as well as the Golden Schnitzel and Moody’s Rod.
New CRIMINAL CRATES are now able to be purchased on the MunchyMC store! With these new crates, you have the chance of obtaining the new criminal specials such as a Killer Grin, Thief Shoes or the Ice Pick! You can also obtain criminal semi-rares, such as Handcuffs!
It’s a new month, and the illicit drug market is thriving within the prison! Shrooms are now being secretly cultivated around the prison… and they sell for a lot! You can obtain shrooms by harvesting crack. If you plant your shrooms on soul sand next to pills, you can also obtain oxycookies. Drug farms have never been more profitable!
This month many new rares were also implemented. By looting outside at /warp exit, you now have the chance to obtain the new Bellatrix rare set as well as the new mythical that has been added to the game! If fishing is more your style, you can now fish up the new fishing special - the Dumbledore’s Reel.

Wool Wars Build Competition: Duels Maps
Currently we have a competition that anyone with a copy of minecraft and and creative mind is in with the chance of winning, build a duels map to the best of your ability, with friends if you want, and submit your designs for a chance at winning a rank and an exclusive tag.

The New Kit Rotation
Given that we all know we had the kit rotation (free kits for everyone) set to normal ranks having Bouncy, Anvil, Healer and Spiderman, and Super having Archer, Grandpa, Pyro and Vast for years, we thought it was time to change it up.
We have now implemented a DAILY kit rotation and so every week you will have the oppertunity to try each and every kit in the game, for free! Along side this comes…
