KitPvP [1.8+] Witch

I came up with this Kit, when someone wrote “METEOR” in chat.

Equippment:
Full Leather Armor in purple with black helmet.
Every piece got Unbreaking 10 and Protection 3.
Gold sword with Sharpness 2 and is Unbreakable.

Description:
Just like Elementalist, Witch is able to switch between abilities on her bow, but like Jester, these abilites have varying cooldowns. The first ability is the “METEOR”, which has a cooldown of 50 seconds and summons a giant meteor on the place, the arrow hits the ground at. A circle of flames tells everyone, where the meteor will do damage. The meteor will spawn above the Witch and will “fall” onto the destined location, thise can take as long as the meteor needs to reach it. It will use an impact animation, that is also used in the earth bow.

The second ability has a cooldown of 15 seconds and throws a splash potion of Poison 1 (0:12) instead of an arrow. This ability is taken from Brainbow, a german bow-heavy gamemode. (A voice coming from deep within a forrest: Timolia~)

The third ability has a cooldown of 20 seconds and throws a splash potion of Regeneration 3 (0:10) instead of an arrow.

The forth ability has no cooldown, as it only enhances the Witch’s damage for every arrow chained in a combo by 1.1x.
Can at most get a chain combo damage of 5 arrows. This combo is canceled by hitting a block instead of a target. The Bow has to be on chain bow to count the chained arrows, else they are normal arrows.

Natural Enemies: Ninja, Viper, Slingshot, a group of players at a place not moving away…

Alright, heres the run down of some of the basic stats of the kit.

Armor is better than elementalist, however, this kit appears to be wanting to play late game, so is obviously weaker than archer and crossbow in terms of armor.

The golden sword with sharpness II deals 6.5 damage, being the same as an archer sword and therefor, the weakest sword(s) in the current kit listings. Obviously attacking with the golden sword is an even bigger risk for this kit as its armor is far less better than archers and without speed, it will make melee extremely hard for this kit.

The bow is currently weakest in the game dealing only up to 15 damage. A groundhog can deal more damage than this in the same one (1) second (8.75 * 2 = 17.5 damage). However having punch II will be an extreme advantage for witches as they will want to spam the bow as much as possible. I think adding unbreaking may be over doing this and should just remain at the 385 shots it has on the kit. If needed, unbreaking I or II can be added.

The abilities sound like A LOT of fun. The meteor is probably the weakest ability as it would take a long time to cast down, but could be used to get to /spawn safely or just to throw down meteors (Cause why not???).

Poison I for 12 seconds may seem like a lot, though it is only a potion, so you wont always get 12 second poison I. On average, you will probably get about 6 - 8 seconds, being about 1/2 of its cooldown. The poison will be more of an annoyance for both parties. If the target has poison, they are less likely to take kb, which is bad for the witch. However, the poison can also be used as a slowing mechanism against targets that are slow. It should be noted that throwing this on a ninja would be a horrible idea.

The third ability when used correctly, could make melee somewhat bearable for a witch, though the likely reason for melee’in with this kit is beyond my knowledge. It can also be used when the game bugs out and doesn’t want you to regen your hearts normally over time, or just for a nice in/out of combat regeneration when you are in a singe for health. It’s also a nice greed play if you dont want to use more soups to battle with to store over time, however you shouldn’t solely rely on the regeneration, as it can be too slow against very aggressive kits like Viper, Pvp, or ninja (all kits which currently dominate the meta right now).

The chain ability is probably the most powerful, of course, when used correctly. It is almost broken, as you can bow spam the first 2 shots (or in-between) and get your increased damage from there. I think it should not have the ability to add to the chain if not pulled back all the way, HOWEVER, it should not completely stop the chain either. Otherwise, there is a huge punishment for not bow spamming. Seeing as this kit will most likely use this method for close range battles, it would be simply too… “out of reach” for the kit to lose its chain due to this event. The chain should only count for full powerful shots and stop whenever you miss a target. The most damage you can get from this kit is approximately 20.5 damage, roughly the same damage as a power III bow. On its own, however a power I punch II bow is really powerful, regardless of the lack of damage you are dealing.

All in all, I love it +1 for an amazing idea and I hope to see this idea maybe incorporated in the future. :smile:
