Woolwars Map: Tropical Paradise

Hello everyone, this Woolwars Map is my entry build for the Woolwars Duel Build Competition. I would really appreciate it if anyone would give me feedback on the build and ways on how I can improve it for the future. On the other hand, for anyone interested in the story of this map and the meaning behind the name ‘Tropical Paradise’. Here is a short story,

“I wake up upon a shore of bright yellow sand as soft as pillows. All I can hear was the sound of the waves crashing into the rocks. I move under a coconut tree which protects me from the zaps the boiling sun was sending towards me. I felt like I could stay here forever. As if it was my home but I knew that was not true. I start working and building. Every mistake I made was another lesson I learnt from. Not long after I made the most cozy, DIY hammock and a small shelter made from coconut tree leaves and other surrounding materials. I set up a net in the water and one under a coconut tree. I bash the coconut tree and coconuts fall straight into the net. I realize the sun was starting to set and I had nothing to eat. I quickly grabbed the net and found a red faced crab and some some fish. I swiped the net out of the water so nothing got released. I heaved a huge rock over under my organic shelter. I set down the trapped sea creatures and start to make dinner. It was very unlike me and some other people who had gotten rescued said that it changed them as well. I had my grub and put the net back in the water. I relaxed in my hammock wondering how long it will take for someone to find me. I aroused from my leaf bed for yet another day on this amazing but life changing island. I strolled over to the crystal clear water. It was so clear it reflected the sky upon its gentle waves. I make a basket and collect more coconut leaves. I emptied the basket and put my resources in my hammock. With the basket i tread along the drenched sand finding rocks. I than wrote a signal message saying ‘HELP’. It started to rain so I dash under cover. The rain starts pouring down over this small island of paradise. From my supply of coconut tree leaves I make an umbrella. Entered the forest and traveled around until I found a paper bark tree. I starting making a sketch journal of the food that were bad or good and the animals I saw at strange times of the day. I had been on that island for nearly over a week. After it had been so long I developed My shelter with a door and walls. I made a bed of wood and more coconut leaves and I had a table made from the wood of the trees. I guess i could actually stay there forever. I sent a S.O.S. note in a green leave package. Two days later a rescue boat came. I said to myself i would never forget what happened on that paradise island. I was sad to leave everything I had created and crafted with my bare hands but glad I was coming home, to my real home.”

Have a good day everyone! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

-1, stolen trees,/flowers, idk what the walls are, looks too crowded for pvp, too empty at the bottom, lazily used catenary brush

I think the map is great! I like how all the colors tie in with each other. Great job! :+1: As Emboxity said, it does look a little crowded! Maybe remove a bit! Overall great map!

Hey Vurm, thanks for the feedback! Although, I don’t think the map is crowded, I think it’s just because of the angles of the picture it may look crowded. In game, it looks really clean and all is symmetrical, also, I specifically added vine and green mist going off the islands to give off more chest accessibility and fighting possibilities. On the other hand, thank you Emboxity for the input although it is not valid upon my mindset. I am pretty sure none of these assets of the build were stolen but taken off as inspiration, also, they look really good within the build and I don’t think the greatness of the build depends on if it is stolen or not. Also, another invalid input you have stated are the walls, I think the walls look great and I took inspiration using the image command via FAWE, also, I have not used the catenary brush. In conclusion, you should not rate builds by how they were made but how it was build but what is actually build. Thank you for your time!

I didn’t know that people shouldn’t steal stuff that isn’t theirs :yawning_face::yawning_face:

May you find the exact tree that has the Builder’s name on it? Thanks

Excuse me? In a building perspective, every single builder has taken inspiration off of another person. In the map, only one of the flowers has been taken by inspiration by another builder. This does not mean I copied it block for block, of course I added adjustments to the stem and the initial length of the flower. Apart from that, basically the entire map has been built by me. Why are you making such a big deal about it? Why do you care so much? Did you build the map? Why are you always negative and only act nice in front of your friends or people with a following? How would you feel like it if someone constantly was attacking you and your creation for no absolute reason?
This is honestly so immature, @BariesBrill please lock this thread as I don’t want it affecting anyone and it seems that it brought nothing but a pathetic argument. On the other hand, I really appreciate everyone who liked my map and thank you for the input.

“ExCuSe Me?”

My guy, inspiration doesn’t mean you steal the trees/flowers.

“Apart from that, basically the entire map has been built by me”
All you did was get /br image, and add vines and a bit of terrain, everything is stolen.

“Why are you always negative and only act nice in front of your friends or people with a following?”
Im negative towards you since you threatened to DDoS me. You also wasted mine and fongus’ time trying to fake proof on me.

“they look really good within the build and I don’t think the greatness of the build depends on if it is stolen or not”

Yes it is. If it is yours, I would credit it, however most of the shit there is stolen. please, think before you type.

In my opinion the map looks good for Woolwars!

Probably could decorate more with structures, but it still well done. As a woolwars map, it cannot be a masterpiece with a lot of decoration as the players need something simple to play on. Anyways, using a template and style of structure to get inspiration isn’t something bad, it’s like building a minecraft tree and say ‘‘Omg you’re copying minecraft!’’, But try improving that style to make your own one.

Anyways, try not to reply other comments as if you were ‘‘mad’’. They’re giving feedback, even if it is the worst opinion ever with an unfriendly person, you can’t start arguing with him in a Map submition

So it’s a +0.75 from me. Good luck!

Take it to DMs if you want to argue. Otherwise, expect a punishment.
