I can and I have gotten to be much more comfortable with using one as well. -
When can you be available to help with event duties each week?
My availability is very flexible since I do everything in my IRL life from home. The only times I’d say I can’t be available is when I’m having Wi-Fi issues due to living in essentially the middle of nowhere, however, my hotspot normally is able to work so that isn’t usually a huge concern of mine. Most of my time on MunchyMc is spent on GameMaker, but if I’m ever needed on Event, then I’m there! -
What do you think your reputation is like within the community?
As someone who’s been a part of the MunchyMc community for only a little over a year now, I’d say I’ve gotten to grow my reputation quite well I’d like to think. I am active pretty much any chance I am able to get and have made many friends from my time being a player on MunchyMc. I also have previously been accepted for a staff role on GameMaker which I think helped my reputation to grow a lot as well within the community as a whole. -
Why are you interested in the role and what motivated you to apply?
The Event Server has always been so much fun to hang out on and play events in and I’d like to think that I know pretty well what kind of events the community enjoys. I also love coming up with ideas for games that I feel like I could help contribute with coming up with new future events, especially from my time on GameMaker where I tend to get new ideas for games that I think could work perfectly on the Event Server. Overall too, I find it a lot of fun coming up with fun ways to just mess around in my own maps with friends and even just with the GameMaker community that I think I’d be able to help entertain in the Event Box as well. -
Do you have any past experience with plugins such as WorldEdit?
I have messed around with WorldEdit in my own worlds a bit but nothing too crazy. I do know my way around it much better now however since I had recently practiced using it a lot more. My main struggle with WorldEdit used to be copy-pasting, but with my recent practice, I feel more confident using it now! I will say though that there’s still a lot I could learn and I am more than willing to keep learning as much as possible. -
How well can you work with a team in a formal/professional environment?
I much prefer to work with a team rather than on my own for multiple reasons. Those reasons mainly being I love the social aspect of it a lot more and I also love being able to discuss ideas etc. as a team because it’s a lot more efficient when ideas are able to bounce off one another and I may be shown a different perspective that ends up expanding on ideas that I may have come up with on my own. Overall, I have no big issue working as a team and I do my best to be a good communicator as well. -
Anything you want to add?:
I realize that I took a lot longer to submit my application than most but, after seeing many of my friends apply, I thought it wouldn’t hurt to try as well. Especially since many of them are people that I know I work well alongside with from experience. I also put a ton of thought into my application so any feedback/ advice would be greatly appreciated as well! But whether my application gets denied or accepted, I’m just grateful for the opportunity and I wish good luck to everyone else applying for either Event related positions!
