I dont exactly know what happened, I was in a game, I teleported, and got stuck in the wall. I only got out because of the cobweb I placed outside.

thats just pearls being dumb, not the servers fault entirely, although it is probably patchable

you need to capitalise, if you hold shift and S you can see the wall and place a block below you, this means you never miss a pearl clutch
