Hey GameMaker nation, we’re deep into holiday season now! Let’s take a look at what went on this month…
I. Season of Thanks
This isn’t really abut GameMaker directly, but rather an open letter to the GameMaker community from me. November brings Thanksgiving in the United States, and whether or not you celebrate, I do want to share some thanks with you all. I started writing the GameMaker section of the newsletter this year back in February, and it’s been such a lovely time so far. And even before that, I’ve been a Moderator for the GameMaker server. This year has been such a blast, meeting all of you amazing people and seeing what you come together and create with each other.
So for whoever is reading this, give yourself a pat on the back, because you’re awesome! Thank you for being here, for creating, and for playing! I can’t wait to see what you and the rest of the community create next!
II. Early Development
Our community may be small, but we still have active map making going on! As I was writing out my section I was approached by DipperCypher to hang out with LittleBoomer666 and Amanaemonesiaa, and got to see what the trio were working on!
REALLY early development one might say. The trio of builders are working on creating a working map of Guitar Hero! Any GH players reading this? I sure hope so.
While I was invited to hang out and watch really early into creation, Dipper is ambitious and wants this whole map to be done tomorrow as I am writing this. Depending on how quickly this team works, this map might already be completed and public by the time this newsletter is out! Wouldn’t that be cool?
But if not, you should add this map to your bucket list to visit and play on once it’s finished. If you’ve never played Guitar Hero, you’ll be in for a fun treat.
III. Featured Map
This month, I’ve chosen the featured map to be… PONTE DO RIO QUE CAI!
Now you might think this map’s on the more basic side, but simple doesn’t mean bad! This map was created to be a recreation of a famous TV game segment that community members have watched in Brazil! The goal is to cross the bridge safely, while your friends or other players throw wind charges at you and try to mess up your run. The bridge comes in 3 levels of difficulty to try out. So bring your friends over to this map, test out your parkour skills, your speed, and your dodging skills!
All the credit to the map’s lovely build team as well! Come give them some love!

Fall Update 
Fall Crates
We now have some seasonal crates for fall! (or autumn for anyone who isn’t in the US). Boost your progress by adding these items to your sets.
Turkey feathers
Some effects and a double jump while worn. Hit someone to gain some effects and make your jump cooldown very short for 60s (no cooldown to renew)

If this is in your inventory when a legendary/mythical/extinct is found by ANYONE AT ALL - get a reward (leggie crumb / leggie shard / leggie shard + ultra crate)

There was a change in how soulcatcher armor is obtained:
- The helmet can now only be obtained from the Mining World Merchant Vault
- The chestplate and leggings now have a 15% chance to drop for the top damager of bosses
- The boots can now be bought from Bazaar for 1500-2000 Gold
