Hey again GameMaker Nation, glad to be back for another month’s newsletter!
I. Racing Resurgence
This month we’ve seen a pretty decent re-interest in the old racing maps, and even one lovely Saturday hosting a race with around ~90 players at once after BadBoyHalo finished his weekly events!
Man, that’s a lot of players. I’m sure no one expected to see that many participants at once! The great thing was that despite the large amount of players, the map still worked just fine. Consider it a fun stress test for a single map! Let’s hope we get to have more of these jumbo-player races again soon, it was spectacular to watch the competition! And who knows, with the decent resurgence, maybe we’ll get new racing maps in the near future from our lovely community!
II. Featured Map
And as always, we will have a featured map every month to keep things fresh. For March, I’ve picked out Catch The Ghosties by Cuatalata! A fun little hunters and hunted map made to celebrate Bad’s birthday and incorporate the greater GameMaker community into it as well, which many are also known as Ghosties!
Make sure to come around and check this cute little map out with a few friends, play chase or tag as you please, and just appreciate the design of the theme!

Map 11’s Release
Wow! We have started off with a blast! A lot has happened over the last couple of weeks. Let’s have a crash course, shall we?
New Worlds
This map brings the introduction of brand new maps, with exclusive rares designated for each world.
Earth 
When first starting out this Map, you will first have access to Earth. This world is available all time around. PVP is disabled, meaning if you are new, this is a beginner-friendly area to start familiarizing with the main mechanisms surrounding looting. However, it does come with some restrictions, as it is up to zone 3, and the highest rarity to obtain on here are legendries. The Earth Legendries that are currently beneficial for early game include:
King Midas Pickaxe👑
When you mine any block below gold block, upgrade the drop to a gold block’s drop + Have a super rare chance to get an arcade token + Right click to increase your fortune for a while
Marie Curie’s Bush🧪
Left click in the mines to spawn some stuff you can brush - one spot will have a nuclear warhead!
Tuxmux’s Slingshot🌿
Left click to change between two cocoa bean farming modes: Planting and Breaking
Planting allows you to plant cocoa beans on the jungle logs in your cell. Breaking lets you harvest them
Heaven 
This is where looting will become double the risk, yet double the fun when searching for rares. After looting 300 Chests, you will gain access to heaven, with more chests. Base RNG will reach the maximum at zone 5. Heaven Exclusive Rares will be obtainable in this map, with access to more rarities including specials, creature, mythical and extinct rares. PVP is enabled in this map, so proceed with caution! (Or if you’re confident in PVP, you can take the most convenient approach and kill people outside whenever you get notified in chat if someone finds an item). Expansion of rares from heaven to add to your sets will enhance your experiences and your progress of ranking up in prison.
Jesus Eyes
When you would drop emeralds from something, chance to receive it as quartz version instead (and double it!) + Double from quartz mined + Get extra quartz from breaking warped hyphae
Jesus Hands
Chance to get divine arcade token from farming mescaline
When you harvest mescaline, get double unrefined pills
Hold shift to start watering and fertilizing crops in a radius for 20 seconds
Jesus Legs

When you find an ultra or higher, have a chance to get holy water. Holy water can provide great rewards, if you’re lucky
Jesus Feet
11 Hearts max at night, 13 during daytime + Regen 1 while worn, sneak for a second for higher regen for a bit + Walk on water! and fast while near water or while raining
Hell 
Unlike Earth and Heaven, this world is only available every now and then. A chance for the Hell world to be accessible requires RNG and time. It is an 1/8 chance for the world to open for every hour that passes. If this occurs, the world will be accessible for an hour, with the same difficulty and enabled pvp like Heaven. So make sure you make the most of it while it lasts! You will have access to find Hell-exclusive rares.
Beezelbub’s Pickaxe
Mine coal blocks, copper ore, or copper blocks to increase your DEVIL BOOST
Devil boost means you get extra netherrack from magma mined, chance from netherrack OR quartz mined to drop as magma, and guaranteed 2 coal OR gold blocks from every block mined
Lucifer’s Battleaxe
When you mine any mangrove logs, get 50% rounded down amount of blocks in additional magma blocks
Lucifer’s Longbow
Shoot where you want to teleport! Hitting players reduces the cooldown to do it again
Hit players for some debuff effects, and to spawn lava on them
Space 
Only opens when someone or yourself finds a legendary, mythical or extinct (you are essentially doing a server a huge favor if you find one. Or if someone else ends up opening space make sure to thank them [or not]). You will have access to both Jedi (80% chance) and Sith (20% chance) exclusive rares.
- 45 minutes if any legendary is found (15 minute extension if already opened)
- 3 hours if any mythical is found (1 hour extension if already opened)
- 9 hours if any extinct is found (3 hour extension if already opened)
Yoda Bow
Kill a fish with this to apply rod to the left, 60% chance not to remove durability
25% chance per fish killed to spawn a Salmon
Arrows track players and teleport victims to you
Jedi Master Scrubee Cloak
While worn in a safezone, you are completely invisible, including item held/particles
Hold shift and right click a player with anything except a sword to look inside their inventory.
You can steel these items: jungle apple, diamonds, diamond blocks and refined pills. If you click on their refined pills, 30% chance to eject you from the menu and you cannot open their inventory for 60 seconds
While worn, if somebody comes within 100 blocks of you, say their username in your chat
Immune to Flowing effect while worn
New Vote Rares
You will have a chance to obtain exclusive rares through vote crates specificially if you choose to vote our server. This is accessible via typing /vote in chat. (Yes, the console exists)
New Crops
Reintroduction of pills, with new additions of angel and devil berries. Meaning the structure on how you farm will be different in comparison to previous maps.
New Ores
Copper and Quartz blocks makes a return to map 11. Magma and Netherrack have their debut, through mining with items under the Hell Rarity.

We’re starting off this season strong with some new special rares! Such as:
Easter Reel
Get different things instead of certain fish, and 10x experience for those things compared to the replacement!
Leprechaun Pickle
Use in the melon mine to apply fortune 3 and get bonus emeralds, a chance of some bonus from pumpkins
April Fool’s Gems
30% more money from diamonds and emeralds while this is anywhere in your inventory + Right click in PVP zone to trick somebody into picking up a debuff

Hello Munchies! Time for the late but better than never survival march highlights!
I. New item lottery items
The evergreat RossRao added a few more items to the item lottery this month, including a bouncy hat and the so called “chameleon set”. The full set makes only 90% of your aquired skill xp count towards the xp limit, and changes colour depending on which block you are standing. Additionally, the “Merchant’s Decree” was also added, which gives an extra 7 days of shop rent for free, to a maximum of 30 days.
II. Saint Patrick’s Day treasure hunt
It was Saint Patrick’s Day on the 17th of march, and in honour of the holiday, Cinderace and QueenBee707 hosted a treasure hunt. The group of participants got lodestone compasses and were set on a mission to find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow to acquire the many riches found there. A real challenge, as the pot was quite well hidden (i can speak from experience).
