For map 8 I think people with mafia ranks should get the bonus 40 crates + 25 mafia crates. Here is why
When you start map 8, all ranks are kept meaning that you can’t rebuy them. This is great but it puts us at a disadvantage for the start of the map compared to players who are anything BUT mafia. For example players with money right now that are saving up for mafia wont buy it now because the crates are useless, instead they will wait for the first day of map 8 to start and THEN buy it. In other words, someone who buys mafia once the map starts will end up with 40 crates + 25 mafia crates but people who already have mafia will have nothing. Red said it’s like buying normal crates but that’s not the case because you can buy an infinite amount of crates on one account but you can only buy the regular/mafia crates ONCE.
To help this what you can do is
1: Give already existing mafia players the crates that they get from their first purchase or
2: Only add the crates a month into the map so people who have mafia get to use their perks
This topic won’t even matter if the perks change but if it’s the same then I suggest you do this. This will be my first map playing from the start so I don’t even know if the crates will have a giant impact but to me getting a few ultras right as the map begins is pretty op.

this is not a good idea because the first day people are going to be 1) lagging out the server 2) finding over half of the possible ultras within less than an hour 3) removing the purpose of looting at the very beginning. you said this is your first time playing the start (dont mean this in a condescending way) so i can understand why you believe this is appropriate, but trust me, when the map releases youll see why this would be too op lol. sure there will be a couple of people buying mafia for crates and theyll be crazy rich (only for the first week or so) but then again there are going to be people buying normal crates too and we can’t exactly ask them to remove crates from the store for a month can we. at the very start even GUARD armor is rare and op because its nearly impossible to loot during the first few days so everyone running around in mafia would be a nightmare

You guys both bring up some good points, I feel like mafia crates aren’t that good but maybe that’s just me. Maybe starting w/ 10 or 20 maf crates instead of 40 would be more balanced.

(25 in the first 25 days)
Purchasing Mafia you get an extra single-time package of crates, 25 mafia crates. It’s like we added on a crate package to rank purchase, and when you purchase crates on the store you don’t get them every map, you get them as a single purchase.
If a player bought 1,000 crates, should we give them 1,000 crates at the start? No, and the addition of 25 mafia crates on purchase is given the same way. I can understand seeing other people buy mafia and wanting that perk to extend to every map, but the intention of adding the mafia crates was for a single bonus for buying the rank, not a gigantic boost at start of every map forever.

I actually prefer it the way it is now.
It’s kinda strategic, like some people will upgrade but many people who get mafia will be fairly new players.
So they’ll either be a target for scamming for armour, or you have to convince them to sell to you and not someone else if you want it.
Or you can make do with the crates you and the rest of your team who are already mafia get everyday

Better idea: disable the ability to buy crates for the first day of the map, this way, the first few ultras arent found by P2W players, if mafia is purchased on the start of the map give the players the 25 crates 24h after release. it was really upsetting to see last map where the very first ultra was found because somebody pay2win’ed it

A reclaim every map seems like a great idea. Maybe ten crates or even 6 seemed like a reasonable number.

Doesn’t matter how you approach this problem, there will always be pay to win on Prison and there will always be those people spending hundreds of dollars on virtual items. Only way to counter this would be increasing the price at launch so its not as prevalent.

ok half the stuff you just said made absolutely no sense and u claim that they’ll only be filthy rich for the first week of the map. You do understand having 25 mafia crates guarantees you to have basically a full mafia set + sword making it almost impossible to die until people get the same loot as you. Therefor the people buying Mafia on the start of the map are going to control the outside of the prison for quite a while until people get better gear naturally.

yea sorry im the one that doesnt make sense??? do you realize what you just said lol. do you have any idea how many people on the server have mafia? if all of them were to get 25 crates they wouldn’t be in control of the outside because they would literally be killing each other, nobody is going to hunt random nakeds when u have competition in your own gear (except maybe for yourself considering your twisted weird logic). love how you said “until people get the same loot as you” btw acting as if its just 1 person thats going to have full mafia. people buying mafia at the start will not control the map for quite a while because every single good player already has mafia and if we assume that an unseen god magically joins map 8 at the start and buys mafia even then he wouldn’t control the outside because other people will already have mafia gear from killing other noobs that also have mafia and get items from their daily crates and he will not be at any sort of advantage gear-wise. the only way he could control the outside is if he was super good and that has nothing to do with buying mafia.
btw if youve ever played the beginning of any map you would know the largest team always controls the outside, not people that are extremely skilled or extremely geared (until ultra pvp sets start coming in)
