The second Active one lets Vampire fly for 10 seconds with a cooldown of 50 seconds.

Tips & Tricks: Don’t suck the blood of other vampires, sure it does damage to them, but it doesn’t heal you.
Possible Bugs: A Vampire sucking another Vampire’s blood, while the second Vampire sucks the blood of the first Vampire without visually appearing as each other riding each other.

Hmm… I like it!

Holy molly thats a lot of sucking for a vampire…

On a more serious note, -1 to the idea. The ability to fly for 10 seconds without losing flight is interesting, but defeats the purpose of playing falcon, since falcon has much weaker armor. Sure the flight lasts indefinitely, but you can’t do much if you are grounded as a falcon either.

The problem with the other active ability as you so kindly put it “sucking” :smirk:… The problem with this ability is that it is very weak. The life steal for half a heart doesn’t help much of vampire’s case. Also a player riding any mob / entity takes damage faster. Essentially, you would be losing more health than replenishing. You would also be doing less damage, since 1 damage is much worse than 3 - 5 (averaged for the sword damage, taking into effect of armor). You would be better off just attacking with the sword at this point.

Vampire’s main flaw is the armor and weapons suck, and at the same time, the abilities are quite useless, since vampires almost never get kills (due to being so suck-y) and the other abilities just aren’t powerful enough to be usable.

We will find a way to help poor vampire, until then i rest my case with…

Maybe 1 heart per second?
And the Vampire can just get off, because sucking blood is one thing, getting attacked while the player is unable to get me off his/her shoulders is the other. The Victim’s sword damage has to be greater than the blood sucking ability’s heal, else vampire is invincible.
Fly for 10 seconds is not enough fly to fly to a falcon and not take fall damage, when vampire did not get a hit and didn’t see where s/he was flying to. (no water=rip)
Fly is intended for the escape plan after sucking on someone.
Double tap space before flying is also an interesting fly mechanic, that falcon doesn’t possess, because falcon is put into fly mode instantly.
Btw, the blood drain value in your review states “leech half a heart of health” without a time value.

I guess that makes a little more sense but the problem is that you would still be doing more damage with the sword than the active ability, thus kind of nullifying the idea of using the drain ability. Sure it could potentially restore a good deal of health, but that is like a dream case scenario. Most of the time you are going to find yourself in a sticky situation because people could do rapid damage to the vampire, killing it in less than 3 seconds of using the ability. In the best case, you leech 1 - 2 hearts without over extending. I’d say that’ss pretty mediocre.

As for the flight, there are so many escape type of kits right now that I think the last thing the staff would like to do is make another kit like Dash, Glider, Groundhog, Etc.

How about 1 heart every 0.6 seconds?
0.6 seconds is the time between 2 hits, where the player goes into a 70% red tint animation, where they are unable to receive damage.

You yourself said so, it’s all over the place, the player doesn’t know if s/he should be aggressive or passive, the fly can is not only from other vampires turning into bats, but also is a good sneaky way to start leeching from above or to escape quickly. Escaping quickly may not be what you wanted to see in the change of this kit, but it at least removes the confusion of the aggressive/passive inner conflict.

Understandable and an interesting approach to the kit. It does have a problem maintaining its identity on one particular side of the PvP spectrum so at least a flight away ability could be an interesting mechanic.
