Hello there, peasants (jk).
I have amassed a large quantity of gold over this season and I’d like to break it down step by step. I am not the richest person, but I have remained on /baltop for the entirety of the season so far.
Here are the steps to making tons of gold.
- Mining gold: Mining in mesa biomes from level 40-60 with a fortune III pick and haste II potions
- Profit Expectations: 300-850 gold per hour (depending on your smelting level)
- Blast Mining: Just like normal mining, but more effective. Requires high mining levels.
- Profit Expectations: 500 -1500 gold per hour (depending on your smelting level)
- Make a shop: There are 120 mall shops, so grab one if you get the chance. Find something you can easily amass large quantities of and sell it. I would recommend investing in a specific item and becoming the best shop for that particular item or set of items.
- Profit Expectations: May vary depending on your shop’s popularity. Anywhere from 0 -1000 gold per day in “passive” income.
- Make and sell map art:. It’s a lot of work, but yields consistent profit. Each map could sell anywhere from 50-200 gold.
- Profit Expectations: 200-800 gold initially, 100-500 gold per week in passive income.
- Flip items (unethical): Buy items for less than they are worth, and sell them for more than they are worth.
- Profit Expectations: 0 - 10,000 gold depending on the flip. Yeah, no promises but this method could make you rich.
- Make a casino (very unethical): Charge players gold for the chance of winning a specific valuable item. Because you (the house) own the casino, you control the chances of winning. Obviously, this tactic is very sketchy, unethical, and wrong, but I won’t stop you, as this method can be very profitable.
- Profit Expecations: 0 - 500 gold per day (depending on popularity)
- Be friends with rich and powerful players: self-explanatory.
- Profit Expectations: Hypothetically Infinite profit depending on your connections.
Other methods: Meme auctions, exploring and selling items (god apples), raiding abandoned houses.
