this thread is just mainly a question and here it is, what are the expectations and quality’s do you look for as a developer? what types of developers do you look for(client or server sided) what type of people join and their intents? and is there more than just making plugins? do you work with other programming languages to also work with java apps? what are the requirements of a java developer? would you use gwt servers? do you need to know all of the aspects of oop? and do you accept java snipits or do you require the program you want to be from scratch with no java docs or stack overflow?

This thread is just for me to look at what is a standard job for a minecraft server, and i also thought of when i get details about this is to work on it on my own and just to try out new things in java. I have no intentions of working as a developer any time soon until i graduate but i’d like to get a head start in knowing what people do and making helpful things to the community in mc. and one last thing, do y’all require a certain amount of time in making plugins?

I think you have to rise through all the mod and admin ranks before you can even get close to a developer rank.

I don’t have an answer to your other questions but I do know that to apply for dev you need to create a support ticket with your portfolio

This is incorrect - to apply for Developer you can make a support ticket asking about a Developer position.

To get more basic info about the specific qualities required for Developer, I would wait for one to reply here, or, as I said, make a Support Ticket asking about requirements. :smiley:
