I do not have any serious punishments on the MunchyMC network.
Have you applied for this role before? If so, please explain the steps you have taken to improve as an applicant since your last application:
I have applied for JMod before and was accepted as a Helper. I have learnt many new things about moderating a large server. I have observed appropriate consequences for rule-breakers by surveilling higher staff. I have also become a much more active and involved member of the Munchy community. I have learnt more about what hackers can do and how to spot them by spending some time on the Purgatory server. This allowed me to gain confidence in catching cheaters. I have been a member of the Bug Testing and Ideas Team (BIT) for a few months and have made some great contributions. I have many more ideas that I believe can improve the server.
What do you think your reputation is like within the community?
I am well-known and well-liked amongst the MunchyMC community. As a helper I gained a reputation for being chatty and giving advice in chat. I have socialized on every server and made some wonderful friends whom have taught me many things. I am active on the MunchyMC Community Discord and TeamSpeak Servers. I frequently use these to converse with members of the community.
Why are you interested in the role and what motivated you to apply?
I love the survival community and am eager to continue to make it a fair, fun and wholesome place. I believe that as a JMod, I will be able to help the server in many ways. I love being a part of the staff team, they have made me feel welcome and helped me to adapt to my helper role. I feel as though I have gained confidence in my role as staff and am ready to take on greater responsibilities.
Out of 10 (with 10 being very knowledgeable), how would you rate your knowledge on moderating a community?
I would rate myself an 8 due to my prior experience in moderating a community. I used to be a part of a small Minecraft server called Olympus Networks, I was a high-ranking moderator and oversaw staff management and hacker detection. Unfortunately, Olympus Networks ran out of money and collapsed shortly after its release, but it taught me many valuable moderation skills and allowed me to utilise my coding skills. In addition, my time as a helper on survival has given me the tools I need to be a gentler listener and a more graceful staff member.
Out of 10 (with 10 being very knowledgeable), what would you rate your knowledge on Minecraft hacks and cheats, including finding and identifying cheaters?
I would rate myself a 9 at detecting Minecraft hacks and cheats. I have spent some time on the MunchyMC Purgatory server and spotted many hackers. I am experienced in identifying hackers and have an intricate understanding of how hacked clients work. I have used hacked clients in the past on anarchy servers which gives me insight into how they work and improves my ability to detect cheaters.
