Capture the Flag
Welcome!
Has it really been two years since the last PvP-related Munchy event? Well today that streak ends! Beginning next week, we will begin our first ever Capture the Flag Tournament!
What is Capture the Flag?
Capture the Flag is a fast-paced, team-based game where the goal is to bring the enemy’s flag back to your base.
- Objective: Capture the enemy flag 3 times to win the round.
- How to Capture: Travel to the enemy base and right-click their flag (a lapis or redstone block).
- On Death: If you are killed while holding the flag, it instantly returns to the enemy base.
- Defense: You cannot capture the enemy flag if your own flag is missing from your base!
- Kits: ALL players have access to ALL kits during each match. The different kits provide a variety of uses from tanking damage to healing other teammates.
- Maps: A large number of different maps exists for Capture the Flag. These maps have different structures and buildings and some even provide different kits to use! Each map will be the same for each bracket and will be voted on in the discord before the brackets begin.
How to Join
- Join the official GameMaker Events Discord
- In the
sign-upchannel, all team members (max 3 players per team) must post their IGN and the IGNs of their teammates.- Each team will get a private channel and voice chat to schedule games and strategize.
ALL TEAM MEMBERS must sign up by Sunday, June 29th @ 11:59PM EST
Brackets will be announced the next day and we will start scheduling duels between teams!
Rules
- All MunchyMC Rules apply.
- Cross-teaming and team-griefing are NOT allowed.
- Bug abuse is NOT allowed. This includes bugs within the CTF maps themselves. Violations will lead to disqualification.
- All team members are expected to show up on time. Please provide advance notice if you cannot make it.
- You may sign up with fewer than 3 people, but the opposing team is not required to sit out players for you.
- You may only sign-up and participate with one account.
- Listen to any and all instructions from referees.
