It could absolutely be just my problem, but I keep clicking into extremely old posts in the suggestions section and end up necro-posting. Perhaps there is a way to suggest more recent related posts to users?
I mean, change the priority level of relativity and time (if there even is such a thing).
Well, at least I would find it useful LOL

While I think this would be cool, the forums is based on a thing called Discourse, so it might not be possible with that. There is also a thing that tells you how old a post is and that it will bump it if you reply to a topic.

Expanding upon what Iron said, even if the little message doesn’t pop up, it’s a good idea to check the date when the topic was created to make sure you’re not necro-posting.
