Staff members go through an application process to make sure they are not trolls, a staff member may tell other people to stop spamming or answer stupid questions because it is their job. Staff members cannot be ignore by players in-case the player in question breaks the server rules, E.g. Spams in chat etc. If the player does this and has the staff ignored, the staff member will have no way of communicating with the player.
